Journal Rundown

Hey,

So it's currently 1.09 am, I'm a little out of it seeing as I'm usually asleep by eleven most nights. But seeing as I can't sleep I figured I'd write and come back tomorrow hoping I've at least made some sense.

Over the last few months I've been evaluating planners and organisers. Mostly for college but also due to the fact I love to plan and have a perfect calendar that is synced with everything digitally and physically possible. There are so many planners and that's definitely the issue so I figured I'd do a little post about it. A planner is a note book containing dates but also areas for to-do lists, contacts, weekly spending and so on. It's a higher quality calendar really.

The first place i looked was Paperchase. It is without a doubt my favourite store. They currently have a sale on, a planner that is meant to be £16 is currently £4.75 !

This planner ticks all the boxes realistically. The website says: With this pretty personal organiser, you will always be on top of your busy life. Soft red cover and the black elastic closure. It includes a month week-to-view diary beginning in January 2016 and has section dividers for your diary, to dos and meetings as well as 4 blank dividers so you can add additional inserts such as addresses, recipes or websites.

It's perfect except for the fact it started in January. It isn't an academic planner which is what I personally prefer due to high school and now college. An academic planner runs from August or September until June or July the following year.

The next planner I looked at was the Happiness Planner. This planner had an academic version, and seemed quite perfect for me. However on closer inspection I realised it just wasn't large enough for what I needed. I needed areas to write assignments and events and have everything clear.

This is the Academic planner that they sell at £44.46 but it is currently £41.45. So, it's a lot more pricey than the Paperchase planner but I do think that it is an amazing planner if you're looking for something to organise your life and want to work to becoming more positive. It uses positive thinking, mindfulness and self-development.

My final planner is actually the planner I've chosen for my college planner. I spotted it whilst out with my mum and we went into Home Bargains. I love the store as it is filled with everything you could every need from chairs, to toys, to fresh food. I found my planner on a shelf without a price. I picked it up simply due to the fact it has a unicorn on the front and I'm mature like that.

It cost me less that two pounds I believe. It was such a bargain and the last on the shelf. This type of planner isn't for everyone and it still isn't that large really. I will be buying an A5 Planner to stay at home while this one goes to college and everywhere else with me.

I hope this was slightly helpful, I know i didnt look at that many planners but these are a few of the ones I personally looked at. I also looked at The Passion Planner and Filofax planners however I decided not to write about these. Do you like to plan ? Do you have a stationary obsession like me ? I'd love to know!
