Hey Everyone,
So, I'm not one to buy expensive over hyped makeup or buy from over hyped brands. I have a budget from my wages and I try and stick with it. That never works though because there is always something I need to replace like foundation or I have to buy a new pair of jeans because of a split. These things happen but oh well. A few months ago I was looking through Mac Makeup simply to find a new powder. I usually use a loose powder from Collection which is a drugstore brand as that is what works best for me and the price is perfect at less that a fiver. When I was younger I bought the cheapest makeup possible. Everybody does right ? But as someone with combination skin and acne this really wasn't the way to go. I started paying more for my products and that really helped my skin so keep that in mind if you have problem skin.

This powder is a barely there gel formula that provides a sheer coverage and it feels genuinely weightless. It's very similar to the feel of a cream yet it is still a pressed powder. It's great for cutting down on shine and setting your foundation and/or concealer, however, it doesn't tend to cover imperfections e.g. dark circles, and blemishes if you have a bad day with acne you can really tell. But, on top of a foundation and concealer it is a good powder.
Due to it being a sheer powder it is really good for dry skin and it doesn't exaggerate any dry patches or look caked to your face. I never got matched to a shade but I have 'Medium plus' which is a medium warm shade. I used this everyday for a few weeks and I did find some issues. When I swirled my brush in the powder it was quite hard to pick up product. I don't know whether this was me or the product though. I did have to top up in the day due to oil build up in my T-Zone.
In comparison to my Collection Sheer Loose Powder taking into comparison the £18 price difference I definitely prefer my Collection powder however, for extra colour and a creamy look the mac powder is really good. I think i'd prefer to use the shade I got as a bronzer. But what do you think ? Whats your opinion of MAC products ? Any I should try ? Let me know !
